Cookbook

The New Berlin Area Historical Society is sponsoring a fundraiser cookbook, entitled “Making Memories in the Kitchen 2012”. The cookbook will feature approximately 350 – 400 recipes contributed by area residents, both current and former, along with short stories about what makes the recipes special to their families and friends.

Please contribute a few recipes to help make this cookbook a cherished keepsake.

Recipes are due by May 15th and should be sent to:

Courtney Dzierwa
3370 Peters Road, New Berlin, IL 62670 or book@newberlinareahistory.org.

The NBAHS is also taking preorders for the cookbooks. Cookbooks may be preordered for $10 each from any Historical Society Board member and can be shipped for a nominal charge. The cookbooks should arrive during late August/early September 2012.

A limited number of cookbooks will be available for purchase at the time, so please preorder to be sure you get one. Contact Jodi at 488-3117 or Jodi.Marr@newberlinareahistory.org.
Proceeds raised from the cookbook sales will be used to support the New Berlin Sesquicentennial Celebration slated for August 2015.

"New Berlin Area History - 150th Anniversary Edition" Book

With a lot of help from everyone, as a part of New Berlin's 150th Anniversary in 2015, the Society plans to update and publish a new, updated book on the History of New Berlin Area. While the 1965 Edition is still widely discussed, many do not know that an update was released in 1991. This new Edition will encompass the History from the time of the very early settlement of 'The Grove' to the current time.
Courtney Brehm-Dzierwa has taken the lead on coordinating this project! Please email her at Book@NewBerlinAreaHistory.orgwith any and all items!
